
Jabriel Roberts,

Jabriel Roberts is a 26-year-old male born and raised in the city of Newark, NJ. He attended St. Benedicts Prep and later furthered his education at Kean University, where he would receive his Bachelors of Arts in Communication: Media & Film. Outside of education, Jabriel has previously served as a part of three non-profit organizations. 1) Be The Change (NJ), 2) #SkooledNewark 3) Men of Excellence. Jabriel also belongs to the Jersey City Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.
Jabriel has also curated two community events of his own. The first event is Haircuts for The Homeless, which originated back in 2015. The purpose of this event is to serve the less fortunate by way of haircuts, food, shower, and fresh clothes before the start of the holiday season (Thanksgiving/Christmas/Kwanzaa) at the Hilton Hotel in Downtown Newark. This event has had a successful three years and is currently planning for a fourth annual event. The second event is #HowMuchASmileCanHide which originated back in 2016. The purpose of this event/series was to shed light and raise awareness towards depression by sharing the stories of 36 individuals whom battle/battled depression at some point in their life. #HowMuchASmileCanHide has been publicly presented at Kean University twice and at Columbia University School of Social Work once. Nonetheless, Jabriel is a motivated individual who is always seeking to better himself and the community around him.
